If I could go back in time…
I don’t really know if I would want to change anything. I wish I could, but then the outcomes of the choices you make influence your life today and the future to come.
There are a lot of things in my life I wish I would’ve done and things I wish I did differently, but if I did do them differently, would I have the friends I have today that I care so much about?
I don’t know. I’m not happy with my life right now or the way things are going for me. I wish I could change who I am or better yet, KNOW who I am.
I’m so lonely anymore and I say stupid shit that I shouldn’t.
I just wish something would happen for me. I wish I had someone. I wish I was just happy.
Everything pretty much blows for me right now.
Hah, this is a paper I had to write for English.
Clay helped me write this! lol
Couch Potato
I grab the drugs from my friend and I hid in an alley way to flee from the cops. While guns are firing all around me, I decided to run to the nearest street, and steal a white camero. I pull the driver from his seat, holding my gun against his head. He resists, so I hit him swiftly with the blunt end of my gun. Then I jump in the car and hit the gas. After I lose the cops down 32nd Street, I take a deep breath and press pause. I, Lisa York, am a video game tester.
When I wake up, usually around two or three in the afternoon, I have no reason to get ready for the day. All I must do is go in the kitchen, grab a soda from the fridge, and drop on the couch to test the latest video game before it hits the stores. My living room is my office. Instead of business suits and organized desks, I have my robe and coffee table. Instead of co-workers and lunch breaks, I have parties and delivery pizza’s. Basically, it’s every persons dream.
Time always seems to fly on my job. I may wake up late, but I do not go to bed early, that is for sure. Once I start on a game, I never seem to be able to put it down. Unless, of course, friend’s drop by to have a party. There is no way I would pass that up. In all seriousness, my opinion is highly valued in the video game community, and I take them very seriously.
My life seems to consist of being in front of a computer or television screen. Other than testing the games, I host a blog, letting other gamers know about upcoming games and updates. Oh, and sometimes I also post pictures of random things that happen in my house. For example, my cat, which must have something wrong in its head, always seems to run into walls and fall over. I take pictures and post them as well. People always think that is a hoot.
Food is never something I need to take a break for. I just pause the game, get up, go to my fridge and find something. Of course, I could always call up some pizza or run to taco bell. Then, I just go drop back down on the couch, eat and play. No time wasted. Since, I do have a strict schedule I have to meet. Blizzard Entertainment is waiting for my reply on the update for World Of Warcraft, though I call all the shots in this business.
Video game testing can be a hard job. Though it is all fun and games, there are still deadlines and assignments I must finish. The job must be taken seriously, otherwise the video games that everyone enjoys in this new age, would not be around. I have an important job for the entertainment of children and adults alike.
My day usually ends around six or seven in the morning. After hours and hours of playing video games and partying with friends, I either pass out on the couch or drag myself to my bedroom. My job can be incredibly exhausting, though it would not seem that way, it can be. Sitting on a couch all day can make my joints and back hurt, I have to change where I sit a lot of the day. Otherwise, parts of my body can fall asleep and it can really distract me from my work.
Everyday it is the same thing being repeated, though I love it. There are some differences in each day, since I receive new games to try out before they are available to the public. It is really fun to be able to see the games before everyone else. This is my dream job. I can get lost in the world of games. Sometimes, I even think I am in the game. As if I am the one who is stealing the white camaro while running from the cops, after a drug deal has been busted. As if I am carrying a 9mm hand gun in my pocket. Except, I am just Lisa York. I am just a video game tester.
It’s really kind of bad. haha
rough draft!
